Buggin’ and Cruisin’ Driving School has been in business since July 14, 2001. Our school employs qualified teachers with over 50 years combined teaching experience, which includes 20 + years teaching driver education. Buggin’ and Cruisin’ Driving School’s quality of instruction is of critical importance to our success. Prior to being allowed to teach each instructor must obtain state approval. To do so they must go through a minimum of 54 hours of training. In addition, Buggin’ and Cruisin’ Driving School requires that instructors participate in additional training beyond that required by the state.
The course offered by Buggin’ and Cruisin’ Driving School fulfills the state driving and written tests, which is normally given by the Kansas Department of Motor Vehicle. To enroll in our school, students must be at least 14 years of age on or before the classroom session. Our eight-hour class is held on designated Saturdays, followed by the State required written exam.
Upon successful completion of the class the student will be scheduled for six hours of behind the wheel driving with one of our licensed instructors. Students will drive late model Volkswagon Beetles and Chrysler PT Cruisers, both with automatic transmission and dual brakes. Students must successfully demonstrate proficiency on all driving procedures. Mastery is meeting or exceeding instructors’ expectations without prompts.
We encourage parents to take an active role in the learning process of their student by providing additional supervised driving opportunities between driving sessions. With the best interest of the student in mind, Buggin’ and Cruisin’ driving instructors will arrange to pickup and drop off the student at either their home, school or work. This service is what makes Buggin’ and Cruisin’ stand out among its competitors.
We thank you for visiting our website and look forward to serving you needs.
